What brought me here?

5.8.19

So, here I am. Finally. This site and blog have both been in the works for over a year now. I have put this off for SO long because of fear and time, but mostly fear. As with most people who begin a new project like this, I had thoughts like "no one cares what I have to say" or "no one will read my blog." After talking to friends, colleagues, loved ones, and trusting myself, I decided to just go for it.

I never considered myself to be much of a writer and I never ever anticipated getting into blogging, but here I am (lol). I decided to create this space to share my thoughts and passions with the world. I plan to use this platform to continue to advocate for mental health, spread knowledge and resources, and share my perspective on life. I don't claim to be an expert about anything just yet, but I know that what I have to say is important and can be helpful to someone.

Brené Brown said "choose courage over comfort," and that's what I'm doing by sharing my thoughts with you.

As I close, I challenge everyone to choose courage over comfort. Whatever it is that you're questioning yourself about doing - starting that blog, branching off on your own, starting your own business, leaving that unhealthy relationship, deciding to quit your job to go back to school -- go for it!

Peace, love, & blessings,

- Taylor
